Matches take place in a variety of venues, including wrestling rings, mat rooms, and outdoors. Wrestlers come from a variety of athletic backgrounds, and individual wrestling styles include a mix of pro, submission, mixed martial arts (mma), amateur, and other styles, with performers wearing a variety of gear. Some matches feature referees, some do not. Some matches feature a visible audience, others do not. Some matches are one fall, others include multiple falls (pin, submission, sleeper, knockout, DQ, etc.) In short, JPWA matches feature a wide variety of wrestlers, action, and ambience.
